The nuudel project is born from our desire to travel together.
We wanted to live a human and cultural experience.
We will be driving from Ulaanbaatar in Mongolia to Montauban in France.
We will be leaving Ulaanbaatar in a russian made 4x4 vehicle, specially prepared for our expedition.
The trip should take up to 2 and half months.
In the remotest villages, we will make stops where while playing some specially selected tunes, we will put up the ger (traditional mongolian tent).
Once done, we will make a fire under the ger and prepare some suutei tsai (traditional mongolian milk tea). This warm and welcoming space should encourage exchanges and communication with the people curious enough to come to meet us.
When the night is set, we will start projecting outside, on the van's side, some carefully selected films. These films have been selected for their ability to retranscribe a global and fair vision of the world.
Our aim is to provoke an exchange and the sharing of ideas, opinions and representations.
The road will take us throught Central Asia, the perfect place for such a project with its many diverse cultures. The films have been chosen with various criterias, nevertheless they all have in common to be principally visual and their comprehension is not based on the language used.

Some films were selected for their quality to retranscribe a global vision of the world (Baraka, Koyaanisqatsi, Powaqqatsi), others for their humour (Melies, Buster Keaton) and others to showcase the diversity and adaptation of life on earth (wildlife documentaries).

We will take pictures of these unique moments. They will constitute the ground material for exhibitions or publications. They will constitute the possibility of an exchange with primary schools as several teachers have expressed their interest in our project (taking the form of presentations, or a pedagogique collaboration... the framework is still to be defined).

Most importantly, our main objective remains to meet people.
